Hi Chris

It's been my experience that since one of the V4 releases (V4R3 if memory
serves) the FTP server honoured the LMTCPB parameter on a user profile so
this is not correct.

If the user has LMTCPB(*NO) then the problem is a user authority issue not
an FTP server issue.

Regards
Evan Harris

Get a third party package that utilizes the exit points to control and
log access first. Even if it is an inside server only. FTP open up
command line to all, regardless of their user profile settings. If you
do not have any additional security on the FTP server Exit points, NO
WAY.

Other than that hackers will have a harder time injecting their code
than on a windows server box. Less chance of them gaining Admin
privileges.
