If you would like SMTP for each service to listen on the native port 25,
you will need to tell each program to use port 25 on a specific interface
as they default to listening on all interfaces. Assuming you have or can
add multiple interfaces. For Domino, add individual TCP ports, then add
"SMTPNotesPort=" to NOTES.INI. Don't be confused by what Domino calls a
port, it is an arbitrary name. See the example below

Ports=TCPIP,TCPIP32,TCPIP60
PortOrder=TCPIP,TCPIP32,TCPIP60

TCPIP_TcpIpAddress=0,10.10.1.50
TCPIP=TCP,0,15,0,,12320,

TCPIP60_TcpIpAddress=0,10.10.1.60
TCPIP60=TCP,0,15,0,,12320,

SMTPNotesPort=TCPIP60

You will have to do the same for native SMTP. Use ops-nav to set it on the
"bindings" tab. There might also be a data area method to accomplish the
same thing.

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone has set up the native SMTP server to run on the
same box as a Domino server. Domino obviously locks port 25 for SMTP, so
we were hoping to test using native SMTP on a different port. This is
just for some system monitoring alerts so we can get the gateway server
to listen on a different port if needs be.

Is it even possible to do this? The CHGSMTPA command does not have a
port number parameter so I was thinking of modifying the service table
entries. Of course, I do not want to impact Domino in anyway. Any
suggestions?

Thanks
