The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
We run 2 servers with our 520, an older IXS (Integrated X-Server)- no
longer available - Windows 2000 Server plus an IXA (Integrated
X-Adapter) - Windows 2003 Server - also no longer available. The replace
is ISCSI attached X-Server (need to be at V5R4).
In all these boxes you use the PC Processor and Memory and the iSeries
Disk drives. The boxes look just like a normal PC to windows. The
virtual disk drives are defined using iSeries NAV.
Contact me offline if you want more details.

Subject: NT server on a midrange
We currently have an application running on a standalone Windoze OS
based
server that I may want to move to the NT based server that's integrated
with
our iseries. I don't know anything about this functionality, not even
the
proper terminology, so I'm having a hard time searching for info.
If anyone could provide any high level view info, experience, opinions,
links, etc, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks, Tim
