I agree that it's a shame they haven't gone further with implementing
SSO/EIM for Lotus Notes... this was an eyesore of an omission 3-4 years
ago
and still isn't available. It's one of our major apps.

In fairness to them, I don't know how they get around the issues of using
Lotus Notes when not attached to a network. The iSeries works fine
because the user will always be on the network and we can validate against
the network's domain.

If a user is using Lotus Notes on a laptop that is attached to the network
they can do the same. When they're not attached, however, there's no LDAP
available to support the EIM and no domain to support the SSO.

For all the talk about SSO/EIM, this is one case where synchronized
passwords beat SSO/EIM.
