Subject: FTP "Keep Alive"
List,
I know I've seen this here somewhere, but the archives are
not yielding an
answer for me.
I have been using FTP to move a save file from a client's System i in
Detroit to my 170 here in Texas. The past few mornings, the
transmission has
been interrupted.
I'm trying to recall the command that will keep the
connection alive for the
duration of the transmission. If the file transfer is active,
I don't see
how the inactivity timers would come into play. The normal
transfer takes
about 2 hours.
Should I be talking with my ISP also?
Thanks
Paul Nelson
