Yes I can see the data if I use *BOTH images... but when I use *AFTER image only, sometimes I see it and sometimes I don't... Is this a bug ?

"DL" is delete. If you didn't change the defaults on STRJRNPF, you will
only be getting the AFTER images. An AFTER image of a DELETE has no data
to view.

Entry type in the Journal entry I see is "DL" I do get the information
about the RRN, which got deleted but JOESD is blanks..

My confusion is that sometimes I get the data in JOESD ... sometimes
not... Please note that it happens in same program. Should I change my
Image to *BEFORE? I don't need to keep both images...

Note that if the UPDATE/DELETE is done under commitment control, then
you always get BEFORE and AFTER.

I suspect that it is a Delete After where you don't see any data in

I have a question about journal entries. I am using STRJRNPF on
different files just to keep track of when records are
created/updated/deleted and what is changed and by whom.

For some reason when records are deleted sometimes journal entries
have
data in JOESD field and sometimes not. Is it normal? Any idea why
it
is like that. Do we have to turn on the Journalling for *BOTH
images to
always get data in JOESD field for deletes?

We are on V5R4.

Regards
