I'm moving an application from a twinax-controlled parallel printer
(with external interface) to a parallel connect using Client Access.

The printer wants a caret to bracket some data and I've always used the
logical not (x5F) which translates to ASCII x5E - the caret. The
printer, however, is seeing xAA which, visually, appears to be the
logical not. It works fine on the twinax devd version which is a 5224
type.

I've tried various MFRTYPMDL parameters but no luck. On the PC, it's
a Generic/Text Only config but I've tried Epson FX850 also.

Thought I might need to specify a PDT on the Printer Setup (as
suggested also on the IBM printer galactic database) but the PDT box is
grayed out.

Any suggestions? Thanks.
