Tommy,

I'm with Richard on this. I have a utility as well that uses the either
the
API, or, my own home written methods to deliver mail. My customers, as
I'm
sure Richard's customers, find that this method to bypass the IBM SMTP
server and MSF is worth every penny.

Why did I create my utility to bypass the IBM SMTP server? I needed it
personally. I wasted much more time fighting with the IBM SMTP server
over
the past 10 years than I did putting my own solution together.

As proof, you watch email threads on this list all the time that go on for
weeks. Wasting more money than if you just were to purchase a proven
utility available.

To play the devil's advocate against myself, though, there is much more
satisfaction in solving a problem yourself than purchasing a vendors
utility
for a lot of us on this list. But, it's nice to know the options are out
there, and from vendors like Richard and myself that have contributed, and
still contribute, much to this list and community.

that's right...forget about using the API (that is most likely
utilized by
the product mentioned below...) it's much better to pay for
something you
can do for free ;-)

sorry Richard...i couldn't help myself...no offense just having a little
fun

Thanks,
Tommy Holden

Better yet, don't use QtmmSendMail.

This service is over a decade out of date and should not be recommended
for use.

Bounce your email right off the Domino Server from the iSeries with a
commercial product like our SMTP/400 software or one of the freeware
variants.

If you agree that native (QTmmSendMail) needs a method to see what is
queued up and waiting to be sent then please vote on this:
