You have the overlay associated with the printfile.

The signature can be a page segment that can be conditional.

The name can be a part of the dds and conditional.

Don't try and put conditional things on the overlay itself.

Leave it as part of the dds or page segment.

Thanks.

subject: blank out a section of an AFPDS OVERLAY

I have an AFPDS overlay that prints a form letter which contains a
signature and printed name. I want to print the overlay as always,
only blank out the signature and name. I have tried to print on top
of the OVERLAY page with a record containing a PAGSEG. Also some plain
text positioned using POSITION. Each variation accumulates what is
printed on the page. For example, when I print a PAGSEG on the same
page as an OVERLAY, information from both are printed.

How can I blank out a section on a page with an overlay?

Can I export an overlay back to the image file it was created from?

thanks,
