For those that haven't seen it, Amazon and IBM have hooked up to allow
you to use your _existing_ IBM licenses for some software on EC2
instances. This means you could now transfer your WebSphere Portal
license from your i to an EC2 cloud instance. Is this something I'm
likely to run out and do today? Nope. But it's an interesting indication
of where the industry is headed.



As I read the PVU tables (http://tinyurl.com/d4s6kd), an i customer
could run in a High CPU medium instance if they had a power-6 based
machine other than a blade, and a blade could run on a Small instance.
