Re: Spooling everything but job logs

With V5R4 and above I suggest changing this system value:
CHGSYSVAL SYSVAL(QLOGOUTPUT) VALUE(*PND)
After that, then, even after the job completes, the joblog will not be
spooled up. You still use option 10 to look at the joblog. If you want a
spool you'll have to do
DSPJOBLOG JOB(...) OUTPUT(*PRINT)
You'll start seeing jobs with a status of *PND. Which, back before these
days, meant something nasty bad happened to the job. See also:
