AFAIK HMC is dependent on firmware level. If the hardware is supported by
the firmware level then it should be supported by the level of HMC.

For Power 5 the minimum level of firmware supported by V7 R3.4.0 of HMC is
SF240_299.
For Power 6 it's dependent on the platform. Our MMA uses different
firmware than our M25's.
310_048 and higher
320_031 and higher
330_018 and higher
340_039 and higher
