For the SQL, just create index objects that support the queries, and
enable the SQE; i.e. do not do anything that requires the queries be
forced into the CQE. Most likely, since the apparent mindset is RLA
[inferred from the desire to effect such a key], the indexes are not
actually very conducive for use by SQL.


Well, yes, guilty as charged. Previously the program used RLA with SETLL
and a loop over the appropriate LF. But I figured the most efficient way to
get this data now would be to switch to embedded SQL. Before doing that, I
was trying various timing tests in interactive SQL to see how they performed
or what indexes were recommended.
