If the job is doing something below the MI then ENDJOBABN usually won't
work. I've had situations in the past where jobs wouldn't end and hours
after I did the ENDJOBABN it seems that the offending job "poked its
head up" and ended. The most recent was when a Showcase job had a HUGE
heap and was busy deep down doing garbage collection and finally ended.
Be patient if you can, if not IPL and get it over with.

Subject: Job held - cannot end

Hi All,

We have a rpg program which use to read excel files yesterday when I
took the program it was held. And I tried to end the same by using
ENDJOB and ENDJOBABN commands. System shows the job status as END but it
is taking more than 60% CPU and not ending.

Does any one have an idea to end/overcome/end this program.

Any help is appreciated.
