I agree with Mark. Use the result field from the CVTDAT command. That
should put it into the correct format for you.

Hi, Michael:

Use the "result" (contained in &RSLT in my sample program) instead of
what the user originally keyed in.

Assuming CVTDAT says it is valid, it will then be in "canonical" format
for the format specified, e.g. *ISO,
so it will appear as YYYY-MM-DD instead of YYYY/MM/DD.
