RE: What is the IBM Director job QCPMGTAGT doing that needs 20% of my CPU?

I've currently got a PMR open with Supportline on IBM Director.

Every so often, randomly, the license.key and license.key_bak files
disappear. IBM can't figure out why. Object auditing shows QCPMGTSVR job
is deleting the license.key.bak file. Might happen on an almost daily basis
or it might not happen for weeks.

Since they can't figure anything out, they decided it must be BRMS fault
when bringing the system to a restricted state for backup. I was instructed
to use the BRMS exit program and do an ENDTCPSVR(*DIRECTOR) at the start,
before TCPIP is ended.

Never mind it worked flawlessly on V5R4 and the problem only commenced with
V6R1.

I've had an issue with QCPMGTSVR which is IBM Director server killing CPU.
Since IBM is flocking away from the i operating system in droves the i is
being abandoned as a platform to serve Director and they are recommending
moving to IBM Director Server 6.1 on Windows. That's the kool aid we will
be drinking. Wait, it's blown up and IBM has just recommended reloading
the server. I love Windows support. Funny thing is, we got that response
from two unrelated PMRs dealing with this same server.

They still support the agent running on IBM i.

On my pmr with QCPMGTSVR that had me running various things to stop it and
restart it. I forget how I finally beat it into submission but now it's
behaving.

Is anybody familiar enough with IBM Director to know what the
QCPMGTAGT job is doing that would require 20% of my CPU for the last
30min?

It was running at what I assume is an IBM default priority of 35.
