Peter,

You can also tell him to use QMQRY (Query Manager) instead. there you can
grant and revoke permission on the use of SQL commands.

Hi group,

one of my friends asked me the following question:

"Is it possible to allow a user to only use certain commands in an
interactive SQL session?"

What he wants to do is make sure that the user can only use SELECT and not
UPDATE, INSERT etc.

But for reasons unknown to me, object security is not an option.
