Bill, you can specify the DRAWER DDS keyword at the record-level in the printer file.
Specify DRAWER(2) at the start of printing the check. Be sure to end the check with a record format that specified ENDPAGE. New drawer keywords are ignored if you aren't at a page boundary.
Then specify DRAWER(3) for the plain paper stock and again an ENDPAGE when you are completed with the page.
