Hi Dave

IBM have provided several aliases for commands that non-iSeries were used to. The various TCPIP commands are examples of this. PING has the unwieldy equivalent of VFYTCPCNN - Verify TCP Connection - heh. This is like the over-complicated yet precise acronym AMD (air-moving device) - what is that! DOH! A fan!

So there are many commands for the IFS that can be used by someone coming from a DOS or Windows environment - and some from Unix.

Gang,
Thanks to all who provided the answers. I hope the RMVLNK works in REXX; don't see any reason why it shouldn't at this time.
Strange that a Remove Link would somehow be a DELETE or ERASE.. Interesting there is a DEL OBJ... command as a synonym to RMVLNK.
Thanks again,
Dave
