I have seen 99.99% and only noticed when CPYF weren't working properly!

Jerry,
If it's still growing, trust me, it will. It will die when it hit's all available used. Been there.
Suggest you find out whey and get some space back ASAP - in the mean time, response time may really be slow.
Reminds me of a vendors package it tried to install not long ago. They had several bugs, one of which didn't have the job logs wrapping, so it hit the end, abended, resubmitted itself...ran all weekend as I recall...came back to a totally dead box...that was a lot of fun!

Subject: dasd utilization at 99.56%
In an interesting and different way to spend New Years Day I got a 5am call that a "critical storage condition" existed on a V5R1 machine.
SST was configured to start sending messages if utilization gets over 90%.
System value said just to send messages.
dspsyssts showed system at 99.56%
When does the system actually shut down on its own accord and why didn't this system shut down?
Jerry
