Hi,
1. Specify the columns to update in your declare statement
2. Specify "where current of cursor" in your update statement.
Example
Exec SQL
Declare CsrC1 Cursor For
Select ....
For Update of Col1, Col2, Col3, ... ColN;
...
DoW 1=1;
Exec SQL
Fetch Next From CsrC1 into :DSCols;
If SQLCOD = 100 or SQLCOD < *Zeros;
Leave;
EndIf;
//Do whatever you want, for examples fill the host variables used for
update
...
Exec SQL
Update MyTable
Set Col1 = :HostVal1, Col2 = :HostVal2, ...
Where Current Of CsrC1;
EndDo;
Mit freundlichen Grüßen / Best regards

Betreff: SQL Update In Place
Am I over thinking this? How do I update a record in place in embedded
SQL? I have a Fetch loop; I now want to update the record I just
fetched. Do I have to specify selection criteria in the update?
Thanks!
