I don't get what the big deal is. If someone wishes me happy holidays, merry Christmas, happy Chanukah, solstice wishes or happy Kwanzaa, I appreciate the thought and wish the same to them.

As for corporate holiday wishes (or government for that matter*), I generally try to ignore them as I do most other advertising.
