Dave,

Not sure which revision your I_BASE CD was, so if it was old you might
have the link loader problem as you are trying to load too many PTFS. There
is some information that comes with this PTF that discusses the PTFs you
need to load prior to installing the cum package. Can you IPL to the A
side? Load those PTFs, and then try again? If not, clipping the LIC and
loading those PTFs first, isn't going to take too long. Then you should be
able to load the latest package.

This is a good reason to always use the latest RSx version of I_BASE cd so
that you are applying a lot less PTFs after you do an upgrade.

Pete

Subject: V5R3 problem with C8267530

Having a spot of bother with C8267530

I have a 270 with V5R30 freshly loaded with all licpgms, but the only
cummulative pack I have is the most recent one C8267530. INZSYS has
completed normally, and IPL'd to B-side.

I appreciate the size of the ptf load, so have tried to apply just the
HIPER LIC fixes only, and also tried HIPER PTF's and LIC fixes only.
Each time, he gets to the apyptf stage and fails with a link/loader
error. Subsequent IPL falis with a B600 0901, which takes me back to a
slip of the LIC.

I have excluded defective PTF's per PSP, but I've run out of ideas on
how I can get it up to snuff.

Can anyone point me in a suitable direction?

Cheers,

Dave
