FWiW even the SCPF [Start CPF] process, which is the IPL process itself [and which is started as job 000000/QSYS/SCPF but spooled upon completion of the IPL with a non-zero job number] has its own QTEMP. This is important in order to enable PTF application that runs late in the IPL and OS installation processing which both run in the SCPF job; even much of the OS IPL code can make use of the QTEMP.
