That can be an icky (<--Technical term) issue. If the Windows profile
and i profiles match you'll have a lot better luck using passwords that
match. With QPWDLVL=0 you will also probably want users to use either
all upper case or all lower case in their passwords, mixed case will
have mixed results.

Subject: netserver map drive failure

I know I've seen this before but its just not coming to mind:

folder is mapped on ifs with *public *rwx check in qp2term shows
drwxrwxrwx

customer running windows 2003 Active Directory iseries is at v454

username in windows is same as username in iseries passwords are
different (windows-complex; iseries-QPWDLVL 0

user does a tools; map network drive; \\qsysname\report and gets
prompted for userid and password responds with iSeries userid and
password fails; gets dialog with userid as <domain>username repeat
infinite number of times Eventually OpsNav will show userid as disabled
in tpcip; servers; neterver enable userid infinite times; repeat until
oblivion is reached

Funny thing is that any other user can map a network drive on this pc
with no issues.

windows tech says its an iseries issue; I'm not so sure;

Jerry
