I used to work for a casino in the mid-late 1990s. We used AIX on
RS/6000 to collect slot machine data (coins/bills/tokens in, jackpots
paid) into the "slot accounting system". That information was converted
and passed into the casino accounting system running on AS/400.
We used Bally Systems' SDS software, LSI for the casino
accounting/comps/floor management, and Software 2000 for
financials/HR/payroll.
