Fascinating. It's been a while since I've had to touch the socket code for any of our apps.

I see stuff in the "UNIX-type API" manual about signal handling, and stuff in the more familiar socket section about SIGIO and SIGURG signals, but I'm having difficulty understanding how it all fits together.

Is there either a Redbook, or a user-written online tutorial, for this?
