Rob, if you open a list of the files in a windows list are the *.log
files TYPE a Text document? Mine are, that may be why the pick list
shows up for me. Just wondering.

If I don't pick a *.log file, but I pick a *.nsd file and try to open
that
with MSWord it will pop up the window and allow me to pick IBM EBCDIC.
(list strips attachments)
Selecting that immediately changes it from gibberish.
I'd dearly love to know how to bring this window up, on demand.
I tried changing to No Conversion.

This is for little one off's to send to IBM for problem analysis. If I
don't convert them I get a call that the attachment I sent in is all
gibberish and I must have selected the wrong format to upload them.
Apparently not all IBMer's know about this. Since it's one offs I was
really hoping that the imbedded utilities were up to the task.
