Hi Mike,

I've heard of this happening if you restore an old version of QUSRSYS library on a newer release. (Maybe there are other causes?)

The fix is to log on with an account with *ALLOBJ and run:

CALL QTCP/QTMFEXIT PARM('*INSTALL ')

Make sure *INSTALL is in all caps, and that there are two trailing blanks after *INSTALL.

This should repair the exit points, and hopefully solve your problem. Good luck

Now, this is strange, the error message refered to format TCPL0300.

And this is what we have:
Exit

Exit Point

Opt Point Format Registered Text

QIBM_QTMF_SVR_LOGON TCPL0100 *YES FTP Server Logon

QIBM_QTMF_SVR_LOGON TCPL0200 *YES FTP Server Logon

So, um... What do we do from here?

Look in the job logs under user QTCP with job names QTFTP*. That probably
will lend some clues.

I am trying to start FTP and am unable to get it to start. I am not really sure where to start. I don't see any job logs (could be authority issue, but I do have *ALLOBJ). Could it be my special authorities?

Special authority . . . . . . . . . . . . : *ALLOBJ
*IOSYSCFG
*JOBCTL
*SAVSYS
