One thing that you have to be careful about when putting a library on the default system library list is that the library will be locked by all jobs (servers, interactive jobs, batch jobs, etc) ... so if you need to so something major with the library, you'll have to take the system to a restricted state (or remove the library from the system library list and re-ipl).
