Long time operator said she couldn't telnet from one i to this other one.
Just stayed at command line.
I looked at her joblog and saw:

Technical description . . . . . . . . : This message is sent when an
internal error has occurred in a VTM/FM XPF module.
This was preceeded by the telnet command and the tcp1217 "connecting to
host..." message.
Don't feel like pursuing this at this time. Had her sign off and sign
back on again and it worked.
This is her morning routine and that job had no entries preceeding that.
Intentions are to load the latest groups and some misc ptf's this week.
