Finding a member in a file, not knowing the file it's in!
Does anyone know of a way to find a specific member name in a file?
Trick is I don't know the file it could be in. Not to mention I've only
been here for about 3 months and still finding my way around the maze.
For some reason we have lost the source to a program that has not been
compiled since 2002 and I need to see if some one archived it into
another source file before deleting it.
I've looked at WRKOBJPDM and doing an option "25" but that only scans
the date in the member (all I care about is finding the member name).
Plus the WRKOBJPDM does not put its list to a file so I'd have to go the
API route (or DSPOBJD for *file and then DSPFD for *mbrlist), which I
might have to anyway, just to get a listing of all members in a file, of
OBJATR('PF-SRC').
Thanks for any suggestions you might have.
