The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.

When using STRSQL, I enter CREATE FUNCTION and in return I get "Token
<END-OF-STATEMENT> was not valid."
Accurate because you have not completed the statement.
If I type CREATE FUNCTION and press F4 it tells me 'prompting not
supported'.
Also true. Interactive SQL does not support prompting for all SQL
statements--usually the more complex ones. This has been the case for
at least 6 releases.
If I type CREATE and press F4 I get:
Select one of the following:
1. CREATE ALIAS
2. CREATE COLLECTION
3. CREATE INDEX
4. CREATE PROCEDURE
5. CREATE TABLE
6. CREATE VIEW
Which substantiates the previous error message.
How do I go about creating the UDF?
Manually. You have to read the documentation, work out the correct
statement, and type in by hand--just like on other platforms. Isn't
lowest-common denominator a wonderful thing?
You may find a wizard in Navigator that helps but since that requires
WinDOS I can't be bothered using it.

Simon Coulter.
