SI32220 recently released (V5R4) allows implicit secure
telnet connectivity-- I recall a fairly recent thread about
it (but couldn't find it with search for some reason). It
requires setting an environment variable
QIBM_TELNET_CLIENT_SSL = 'Y' (be sure to read the
coverletter).
According to the Support Center guy I talked with, it was
just about a week ago, and due to requirements from a user
group. <Applause!>
