On the iSeries access properties > Incoming remote command tab - use command
mode detached - the dos box should not appear.

I'm using it heavily with open office to merge letters with data from the i.
and to open/display letters from a green screen app - not a dos box in
sight. Open office just pops up on the pc...

I did write some code to get the PC's ip address - so all the batch prints
go into a jobq when they pop out they know the ip address of the pc where
the command needs to be run.

I can let you have the ip address code if you need it..
