I have a iSeries system with a HMC attached. I will be installing another iSeries system and would like to manage the new system with the HMC from the previous installed system.

Would this be possible if the 2 systems are on different networks?

The network isn't really the problem. The HMC just needs an IP
connection to the FSP. You can route that over the internet if you
want. Though you might need to configure the FSP manually, instead of
using the HMC DHCP Server.

Whats more of a problem: If you have an iSeries System, and want to
attach a System i or POWER system to the same HMC, you will run into a
problem of supported code levels. IBM has lots of guides and
schematics on what versions of FSPs/Hardware support which versions of
HMC code.
