Hi Mary. Are you looking to copy files from qsys.lib? In that case the suggestion to look into CPYSTMF and CPYTOIMPF are spot on. I'd also like to doubly reemphasize the suggestion to go to Scott Klement's website and look around. There's all kinds of good stuff there regarding IFS and what you can do with it.

It's also possible to map a drive to the root of the IFS or to any folder within. You may have already done with the QDLS folder. Since the QDLS folder is simply a folder within the root of the IFS, you just follow the same process to map a network drive to another folder substituting 'MYFOLDERNAME' for QDLS. If you want to map a network drive to the root, simply substitute 'ROOT' for QDLS. Once that is done you may save and/or copy items from other locations to folder(s) on the IFS.

There are tons of APIs and utilities out there (many free many open source) that allow you to take full advantage of the capabilities of the IFS. If you can be more specific about what you will be doing, there's a good chance that someone on the list can point you to something that will work for your situation.
