The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

The batteries are removable from the front. Lower right I believe. A
screw or four and the pack slides right out. Like any lead acid battery
you should send out to be recycled.

Subject: permanent shutdown
How do I permanently shut down an AS400 model 720 which has an internal
UPS?
I did the PWRDWNSYS restart *no.
Do I then just pull the plugs?
I'm planning on just trashing the machine after smashing the disk
drives.
Do I need to treat the batteries as hazardous waste?
