Been many release ago. And it wasn't iSCSI, it was IXS. We could use
IXS, accessing the same disk drives, and it was MUCH faster than
NetServer. I don't know if it was the onboard processor of the IXS, or
that Windows OS was better tuned for simple file serving. I do know that
since then IBM claims to have made significant performance increases in
NetServer. I remember one version of the OS specifically mentioning that.
