This thread has reminded me of when I was working in a 38 shop. We had
just sold part of the company and we were removing some excess DASD.
Our hardware company came in after I completed my two full saves. The
DASD was removed without any problems.
When we re-IPLd the system my CE friend selected "Cold Start *YES".
After six hours, he told me that since everything was running well, he
was going home. When I left another thirty hours later, I called him
to thank him for all of the overtime.
My wife and I took him and his wife out for dinner a few weeks later.
We have been best friends ever since.
