Subject: remote execution on System i
Can anyone point me to how to execute a remote command on the System i,
from an ODBC connection? We want to allow our VRU (Voice Response Unit)
to execute a specific program on the System i. The program needs to send
and receive several character parameters.
I've seen stuff on executing remote commands on another System i, and
from
the System i to a PC, but what do I need to do to implement this over an
ODBC connection?
The connecting system is running Windows 2003, and the program is IPCC
Express Version 5.0(2) SR1, connecting over ODBC.
Thanks,
Steve
