I will say that using the BCH with HS21 blades (Dual Intel Cores) back

to the i5 to serve the disk via iSCSI has also beat the pants off of
the
old ISA attached xSeries boxes.

Am I understanding the setup here that you had Intel blades (running
Windows/Linux/etc.) using the JS12/22 as the "SAN" where the JS12/22 was
serving the disk to the blades as iSCSI?

And if I've got that correct, I assume then that the JS12/22 was then
using a "real" SAN for its disk? Yes? Why would you ever do that?
Seriously. Why run the IO through the i5 instead of just connecting the
Intel blades to the SAN in the first palce?
