Hi Kevin

Based on your email I'd say there were two things to look at: The length of
the value receiving P-group value and the starting position of the receiver
variable.

If I had to guess I'd say the starting position is incorrect. Remember the
positions and lengths of items returned in API's are *offsets* therefore the
first items starts at 0 not 1. I used to often get them wrong by 1 and I'm
guessing that's what you did as well.

Evan Harris

Subject: iSeries API Question

Hi All,

I'm doing an update to some software that uses QLZARTV and QSZRTVPR api's to
get the P-group.

It works fine on my V5R2M0 box - but when I run it on my V5R4M0 box I get "
P0" instead of "P05".

Has anyone see this before - before I completely dismantle quite a large
program.

Thanks

KP
