It takes a few minutes to config a line and controller and device.

Doing a SDLC line is quite simple.

Menu CMNCFG has the "easy bake" options for most situations.

Here is the device on a 525 I work on.

CMB01 2844 Operational Combined function IOP
LIN03 2793 Operational Comm Adapter
CMN03 2793 Operational Comm Port
CMN04 2793 Operational Comm Port

One line is SDLC and the other is Async
