Red Flag Alert!

If you have any applications that are listening on that interface and
not "*" interfaces, you may have to restart that application. I know
that I have more than one interface and I have applications that bind to
an IP address not all IP address on the server.

netstat *cnn will show you what is bound to the IP address in question.
