I have a very similar set-up; i.e., two i5's and, usually, 2 sessions opened/started for each machine. I just checked STRSQL on both systems, and they were, as far as I can tell, different as regards the history. It is a little more difficult to tell for sure here since our second system (backup/development) is pretty much a copy of the first (production) system. The libraries that are different are never used for SQL (no data).
I don't know where the STRSQL history is kept, but I would bet that it is somewhere on the i5, not the PC. The latter just wouldn't make sense. I went to a dumb (5250) terminal, logged in with my profile, ran STRSQL and got the same history that I have in my C/A session. When I use the WRKUSRJOB to find out which files are open when STRSQL is running, all that I see in the list are display (DSPF) files.

Yesterday, I opened a fifth session of the 5250 emulator on my PC to run
some interactive SQL. We have two System i machines in house,
production and development. As I monitor and perform data analysis on
both system, I generally keep two sessions of each open (A & B -
Development, C&D - Production). For the fifth session (E), I randomly
open one or the other depending upon my need of the moment.
To make a long story short, looking through the history of SQL
statements in the fifth session, I noted that there was an interesting
mix of SQL statements from the two different systems. There are
libraries on production that do not exist on development and vice-versa
and there were clear examples of SQL statements accessing these
different libraries in the history.
Where is this information stored? Is it on the PC? How do I get data
from two separate systems in the same session? Inquiring minds want to
know?
