We have one white screen developer that is running four (4)
monitors.....he looks like a NASA engineer over there.

I don't think having more than one monitor is the norm just in the USA.
Generally speaking, multiple monitors has a huge ROI for any developer due
to the productivity gains.
I think if you look at most windows/web developers anywhere you'll see
that they have multiple
monitors.
However, it seems to me at least that many System i developers are stuck
with one (small 15") monitor.
At work I've got two 17" LCDs.
At home I've got a 21" and a 19" CRT.
I wouldn't work without at least the dual 17".
