Thanks for the tip, Joe. I wasn't aware of any iPhone emulation sites, and your tip motivated me to search. Here's one that works:

http://www.testiphone.com/

I used the test emulator to test the following link:

http://www.radile.com/rdweb/temp/inames.html

It's is a page patterned after one of the examples I shared in the "Presentation Layer" discussion, except specifically formatted for the iPhone.

Both examples search for "persons" based on last name. Both display a list. Both enable row navigation and selection using keyboard and mouse operations. Actually, the same RPG program generates lists for both screens. Only the HTML layout & JavaScript are a little different.

Although the example seems to work fine in the emulator, I'm still concerned about it working in a real iPhone. So if anyone with an iPhone would be willing to test it, and give their feedback, it would be helpful to me.

The following keyboard and mouse options are supported under IE and Firefox, but I really don't know what the equivalents might be on an iPhone:

Arrow keys - select next / prior row
Home key - select first row
End key - select last row
Shift + arrow keys - select a range of rows
Ctrl + shift + home - select a block of rows
Ctrl + shift + end - select a block of rows
Shift + click - select a block of rows
Ctrl + click - select multiple rows, individually
Ctrl + a - select all rows

Thanks,

Nathan.
