Regarding BCD. The reason the latest version of ProGen Plus would not install is that one of the files in the FTP download archive had a CCSID of 277. BCD had done this to facilitate installation at another customer and failed to change it back.

The good news:
===========
After they fixed that issue, V9.50 of ProGen Plus installed successfully.

The bad news:
==========
9 programs in ProGen Plus still have a problem
5 programs in GN#SUPPT, their support library, still have a problem.

On an additional note, their File Flash Plus product is also not compatible with V6R1.

I emailed all the relevant info to them.
