Bill,

I think that you can get the system state functionality if you talk to IBM
and express the need...or they'll turn you on to the API's etc... I think
there's some legal BS and a few other things, but I'm hearing that people
are not losing functionality in their products due to the 6.1 system state
issues...

Many people lost the Undelete when they restored their WRKDBF library for a
new OS/400 release. There is a System Value QVFYOBJRST which (depending of
its value) generally restricts "User State Objects" from being restored.
Dave McKenzie's (sp?) earlier Undelete programs were user-state objects and
thus wouldn't restore unless the system value was modified. Many did
not/would not change it.

I've updated WRKDBF's Undelete to one of Dave's later releases which is not
a user-state object. The Undelete works fine on V5R4. There -is- an open
question about Undelete on V6R1 but I cannot check that release. So we'll
have to stay tuned in that regard.

Great news Bill!!!!!

I was wondering if the undelete record option will work with the new
version. Seems I lost it once I went to 5.4.

Thanks again!!!!
